And now for the results...
On Sunday, Oct 25th, students from OC School of Martial Arts competed in the 2009 Great Pumpkin Tournament in Corona, CA and returned with 14 trophies! I know that for many it was a great test of courage. Whether you came home with top honors or not I'm very proud of you and look forward to seeing you compete again. Parents you too should be proud of the efforts and courage your children displayed.

The words "San Kil" are Korean for "Mountain Path". Before testing for your orange belt at OC School of Martial Arts you will be asked to write an essay about the meaning of San Kil Tang Soo Do. What does a mountain represent to you? What type of terrain do you think you encounter on the way to the top of a mountain? Congratulations to all those who rose to the challenge in front of parents, friends and fellow students during our belt testing on Saturday morning. Starting promptly at 8am students labored for nearly 3 hours under the careful attention of their instructors demonstrating their skills. Congratulations to the following students for achieving a new rank in Tang Soo Do. |
