We had a busy weekend that included not only the test but also running two womens self-defense workshops for local high school students. On that note, I would also like to thank Master Kristin Duethorn for flying in from Connecticut and spending her valuable time helping us prepare for the test and for the awesome encouragement she gave those students lucky enough to work with her. Thank you to all of our students who volunteered their time to help us conduct the workshops as well.
With new rank comes new responsibility – we encourage all students to remember this thought as they continue their study of Tang Soo Do. Practice, practice, practice.
One last thought for parents and students alike – if the experience you’re having at OCKicks is as fun and rewarding for you as it has been for us (the instructors) please tell someone! Get off the sideline (parents) and try a class yourself. Tell a friend and bring them to class with you. Sharing your positive experiences with others is often the best gift you can give.
Please be sure to congratulate all those who promoted!
