![]() There's more new COLOR in the school! We are pleased to announce the promotion of 19 Tang Soo Do students who left it all on the floor during two 2-hr tests yesterday. We graduated two our our Team Turtle Students, Alex H. and Cole B., into the Jr Kicks program. They rocked the house with their Team Turtle forms demonstration! In addition, one student was recognized for standing out among his peers and really impressing the instructors with his fantastic stances and knowledge. Noah J. shined and is our newest OCKicks MVP! On Saturday May 1st we held our Spring Red Belt Test. We are extremely proud of the efforts of our 11 candidates who demonstrated the fire associated with the belt. Our theme in April was In Neh, the Korean word for endurance. Our new red belts showed endurance, perseverance and indomitable spirit with their efforts during their test. Congratulations to you all! Team Turtle instructor Kyo Sa Mike Torchia proudly promotes students at two ceremonies on 4/5 and 4/12. There's more new COLOR in the school! We are pleased to announce the promotion of 29 Tang Soo Do students who left it all on the floor during two 2-hr tests earlier today. In addition, one student was recognized for standing out among his peers and really impressing the instructors with his fantastic focus. Jake Kuta shined today and is our newest OCKicks MVP! Way to go Jake! We would like also recognize Michelle Garcia, Kyrin Garcia and Derrick Porter for their outstanding dedication, effort and improvement during the last two months. Michelle in particular really stood out and impressed not only the instructors but everyone who watched her shine. Great job guys! And finally this test marked the first crop of Team Turtle graduates to reach Green Belt in Tang Soo Do! Congratulations to those students who promoted this month at belt tests held on 4/11 and 4/25! We had 17 Jr. Kicks students receive new orange and gold belts on the 11th. We hope the experience was a positive one for everyone (including those who patiently watched). Thank you to those parents who provided food and beverage for the party after the test and especially Kendra Conger for volunteering her time providing Starbucks! If you weren’t able to help, please be sure to thank her and consider carrying the torch at the next test. |
